Löan T. Shillinger is an estate planning, trust administration and probate attorney representing California residents. Attorney Shillinger’s experience with estate planning, trust administration and probate spans over 15 years. She ran her private practice for 11 years servicing hundreds of clients throughout California. In 2021 she joined Duckor, Metzger & Wynne as senior counsel. Her attention to detail and desire to ensure that her clients understand the significance of the journey they are embarking on when creating their estate plan is why she decided to leave the firm in December of 2023 and relaunch Shillinger Law. She is a planner at heart and knows that making a plan now is the best gift you can give to yourself and your loved ones. Her focus is to change how people traditionally look at estate planning from ‘’planning for end-of-life” to planning for today. Attorney Shillinger shares her passion for estate planning, trust administration and probate by speaking at community centers, conferences, and educational seminars about the importance of not only planning for the future—but for today. At the very beginning of her law career—before launching her own private practice, Attorney Shillinger clerked for the Honorable John A. Houston in the Southern District of California Federal Court; she was the court attorney for the Honorable Patrick Border in the Hawaii Circuit Court and she served internationally as the court lawyer for the Chuuk State Supreme Court Justices in Micronesia.
